Good points. The biggest change to Boston for 2024 was the new sponsor with Bank of America taking over from John Hancock. I suspect that this change drove the drop in spots available for qualifiers but I wouldn't know for sure. And I am hoping that the level shift was a one-off and not some trend that BoA continues to push. In any event, if the number of qualifier spots drops to 20,000, my model predicts a cutoff time of 7:37. Yikes! Let's hope that it doesn't go that far.
